How To Make Bootable Pen Drive/Bootable Pen Drive

Creating a bootable pen drive is a straightforward process, but it does require some technical knowledge. In this blog post, we will cover the steps needed to create a bootable pen drive.

Step 1: Check the System Requirements

Before creating a bootable pen drive, it is important to ensure that your computer meets the system requirements for the operating system or utility that you want to install. These requirements can typically be found on the software's official website.

Step 2: Select a Pen Drive

 To create a bootable pen drive, you will need a USB flash drive with enough storage space to hold the operating system or utility that you want to install. The minimum storage capacity required will depend on the size of the operating system or utility. Generally, a pen drive with at least 8 GB of storage space is recommended.

Step 3: Download the Operating System or Utility

Once you have determined the system requirements and selected a pen drive, you will need to download the operating system or utility that you want to install. Most operating systems and utilities are available for download from their official websites.

Step 4: Format the Pen Drive

 Before you can create a bootable pen drive, you will need to format it. Formatting the pen drive will erase all data on it, so be sure to backup any important files before proceeding.

 To format the pen drive, plug it into your computer and open the File Explorer.Then right-click on pen drive then select "Format". In the Format window, select the file system as "FAT32" and click on "Start". The formatting process may take a few minutes, depending on the size of the pen drive.

 Step 5: Create a Bootable Pen Drive

There are several ways to create a bootable pen drive, but we will cover the most common method using a free tool called Rufus. Rufus is a lightweight and easy-to-use utility that can create bootable USB drives from ISO files.

•  Download Rufus from the official website and run the application.
• Select the pen drive that you want to make bootable from the "Device" dropdown menu.
•   Select the "File system" as "NTFS" if the operating system or utility is larger than 4GB. If it's less than 4GB, you can select "FAT32".
• In the "Boot selection" section, click on the "Select" button and browse to the location where you saved the ISO file for the operating system or utility that you want to install.
• Click on the "Start" button to begin the process of creating a bootable pen drive. Rufus will display a warning message indicating that all data on the pen drive will be erased. Click on "OK" to continue.
• Rufus will now begin creating a bootable pen drive. This process may take several minutes, depending on the size of the ISO file and the speed of your computer.

 Once the process is complete, Rufus will display a message indicating that the pen drive has been successfully created. You can now eject the pen drive from your computer.

 Step 6: Boot from the Pen Drive

To boot your computer from the pen drive, you will need to change the boot order in the BIOS settings. The BIOS is a firmware that is built into the computer's motherboard and is responsible for controlling the basic functions of the computer.
